Fall 2009 Clock Repair Workshop
The Fall Clock Repair Workshop dates have been set. The group will meet at the Mount Brydges Legion starting on September 26. There will be a few gaps in the Saturdays. A calendar will be distrinuted at the first class. Cost remains $ 150.00. Those interested in taking the course are asked to register with a post-dated cheque. Participants will learn to:
· take out the movement
· assess the condition
· determine if it needs cleaning and/or oiling
· perform a very basic cleaning and oiling
· determine details of manufacture - in general what distinguishes an American watch from a European watch
NAWCC Chapter 92 is very proud to be sponsoring this one day Pocket Watch Workshop. This hands-on workshop features instructor Dennis Myers who has taught the Clock Repair Course at St. Clair College in Chatham for many years. Dennis is a well known watch repairman who trained at George Brown College.
